Results came quickly to the young man who scored a trio of WERA Novice national championships in 2003, finishing on the podium in 85% of the races he entered. In 2004 Matt followed a full schedule of club races for privateer Team Embry which culminated in an AMA Sports Formula One title and his debut in the AMA Superbike series’ final two rounds where he placed in the top twenty. In 2005 Matt completed a full AMA schedule for Team Embry and added another Formula One plus the prestigious Suzuki GSX-R1000 Cup titles at the Grand National Finals at age 21. KWS Millennium Suzuki chose him for their factory supported AMA team in 2006. Matt rode his stock-spec GSX-R1000 to a string of top-ten finishes in both AMA 1000cc classes, with a best of 5th at Utah. The legendary Eraldo Ferracci named Matt Lynn alongside Luca Scassa to develop the MV Agusta F4 312R in the AMA Superbike series for 2007. Lynn edged his teammate in the final points with six top 10’s. Ferracci and MV Agusta did not return for a second AMA season but Corona Extra Honda offered him an eleventh-hour deal in January to ride their Superbike for 2008. Lynn has fought hard among the top ten in a field dominated by factory bikes, and riders with more than twice his experience. Matt finished 13th in points in the AMA Superbike classes and at the end of the season was offered a seat on the Alto Evolution World Superbike team, to fill in for injured Jason Pridmore. 2009 brings new challengaes for all AMA racers, which has inspired Matt to manage his own team; supported by Team Green Kawasaki.
